Vaporetti is a Venice public transport app showing ACTV vaporetto schedules, routes and lines, airport connections, tide levels (acqua alta), and service alerts. It is available for iOS and Android.
Vaporetti does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. No account is required. No analytics, advertising, or tracking libraries are used.
With your permission, the app may access your device location while you are using the app, for the sole purpose of showing your position on the map relative to nearby stops. Your location is processed on the device only — it is never collected, stored on a server, or transmitted to us or to any third party. You can use the app without granting location access; only the "where am I" indicator on the map is affected.
The app saves your favourite stops locally on your device (using the platform's standard preferences storage). This data never leaves your device and is removed when you uninstall the app.
To show live information the app fetches the following public data directly from their servers. No personal data is included in these requests:
Some buttons open external websites (e.g. ACTV, Alilaguna, ATVO, tariffs) in your browser when you tap them; those sites have their own privacy policies.
ACTV, Alilaguna and airport-bus schedule data (GTFS) is bundled inside the app, so timetables work fully offline without any network connection.
The app is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
